Althought the LC
system can support an emergence of new kinds of science and
technology as well, it cannot cover all types of information
medias provided in LIS such as compact discs and cassettes.
LIS has to adapt LC system
to organize media other than textbooks and reference by adding
a few codes to identify item types and copy ordering.
LISC is a local
classification system created by LIS. LISC system is divided
according to provided media types.
